Survival 101 Class
The ideal class for the novice
- our beginning class.
Co-ed; Ages 13+. (13-17 w/parent).
Start time: Sat., 10 am.
End time: Sun., 1 pm.
Max. class size: 8.
Tuition: $225.
A terrific class for those having camped maybe once or twice or three times OR never at all. And definitely a class for the person desiring confidence and wilderness know-how.
101 CURRICULUM
Students will learn the importance of proper preparedness and the knowledge, skills, and techniques associated with the seven survival priorities: 1) Positive Mental Attitude (PMA); 2) Wilderness First Aid; 3) Shelter; 4) Fire; 5) Signaling; 6) Water; and, 7) Food. Short-term and long-term survival will be be discussed. Contents of a personal survival kit will be taught. And improvisation and its creative aspects will be emphasized. Class participants will become a team, stay safe, and learn quite a bit of survival stuff.
